The New Foster Orientation is an in-person class that goes over all of the introductory information regarding fostering through the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. Once this class is completed, you will be immediately eligible to start fostering. Please fill out an online application prior to signing up for a class at this link.
Fostering is an essential component of our mission, and we are so appreciative of you for helping us to save animals' lives.
Please arrive 5 minutes before the class starts, and come to the front door of the Adoption Center. A staff member will lead to you to the classroom. Please bring your smartphone if you have one.
There is a one-time $25 fee for a GBHS Foster t-shirt and to help with the rising cost of supplies for the program. This allows us to continue providing all of the supplies for our foster pets at no cost to our foster parents.
