Snow Drive Canine Volunteer

Who We Are

Canine Daily Care volunteers devote their time to keeping our dogs happy and healthy, working with staff to ensure dogs are walked, bathed, fed, groomed and socialized throughout the day. They are passionate, positive, and enthusiastic about GBHS's mission. Successful Canine volunteers work well with others but are able to work with limited supervision.

They must complete Volunteer Orientation and Canine Caregiver training class and complete a Canine Mentor Shift with a trained volunteer/staff member.

What We Do

GBHS Canine volunteers aid staff in caring for the animals on our campus by:

- Assisting staff in morning and afternoon kennel cleaning
- Walking dogs on set schedule
- Grooming dogs as needed
- Socializing dogs between walks
- Keeping kennels clean throughout shift
- Maintaining accurate logs for each dog
- Cleaning up after pets
