Clear The Shelter

Clear the Shelter 2025 will be on Saturday, August 23th!
Clear the Shelter is a nation-wide shelter event where we attempt to do what we say: "Clear the Shelter" - finding homes for every single animal in the adoption facility within a certain amount of time.
Volunteers are strongly encouraged to sign up for shifts in order to work Clear the Shelter. By signing up for a shift, you will be assigned a station, receive instructions, and up-to-date information. These can be found under "Opportunities":
CTS Canine Care Volunteers - These volunteers are required to be Canine Care qualified. These volunteers will be stationed in and around Kennels A, B, Puppies, and maybe Outside Kennels. They may be asked to walk dogs and be animal runners.
CTS Feline Care Volunteers - These volunteers are required to be Feline Care Qualified. These volunteers may be stationed in and around Sam's Spot, Whiskers and Mousetrap, and Condos. These volunteers may be asked to clean cat kennels after adoptions.
CTS General Volunteers - Maybe one of the more important Volunteer positions at CTS, General Volunteers may do the following: assist with people flow, greet guests, explain the CTS process, check in guests, assist with filling out adoption applications. These volunteers are not required to be trained, but must be willing to be sociable, calm under pressure, and embrace a fluid and fast-paced event.
Other volunteer positions and volunteers may be individually selected by staff to assist with specific or skilled roles.
